Quote of the Week

Today is my main character’s birthday. In honor of that occasion, I will give you this:

“If I knew then what I know now, I still wouldn’t do anything differently. Sure, I could have saved a lot of time, trouble, and even some lives, but if it had happened any differently, the truth might never have been told.

The truth is, somewhere along the way this journey changed from a race to find a cure into a fight to save my family. And my family desperately needed saving.

The truth is, the way things happened is the way they were meant to happen. I have to keep telling myself that. Because as I watch the casket lower into the ground and see the grief on his family’s faces, it would be really easy to want to go back and change everything.”

That’s an excerpt from my book’s sequel, and it’s Shannon’s birthday present to you. πŸ™‚
