Lunch Haiku

Light soup and a roll

Extra veggies add more green

All in a cute bag

A workday lunch (especially if you’re like me and eat 80% of them at your desk) doesn’t have to be dull. What are you having? Describe it in a haiku poem – five syllables in the first line, seven in the second, five in the third.

  1. jealous of desk lunch
    drinking my lunch while en-route
    to put out next fire

(for the record, that’s a poetic, figurative fire; not actual flames…)

  2. sesame chicken
weight watchers style, back on track
    no dessert for me

(I don’t know if puncuation is allowed in haikus, so if it’s not…oops)
